Who Are We?

Dragondark Media Ltd incorporated in early 2005. A web-design company founded by Gareth Edwards and Paula Claytonsmith and operating out of London and New York, the company has seen good initial growth due to the success of it's customer care and analysis.

Initially a web-design company, Dragondark Media plans to use its same philosophy to move into other Internet Media businesses.

Paula is responsible for overseeing all business and marketing operations within the Company. She has a strong background in project and people management at a senior level and helping organisations improve their services for over 15 years.

Her skills include project managing, Client Liaison, Ministerial and public sector consultancy and last year she was featured in the Top 40 under 40 for the public sector.

Paula has also spoken at a number of national conferences on improvement in public sector services, using practical know-how, user insight and warped humour.

Paula brings a business brain to the Dragondark Media partnership, blending the sensibilities of business to design and not killing it!

Given half a chance, Paula would like to live in the hills with horses, cats and her new pick-up...

Gareth has been involved in the design and development of websites since before he can remember.

His skills include front-end design and back-end application development, information and site mapping, accessibility and usability planning and solutions, search engine optimisation and web project management.

Over the years he has developed a great deal of experience in a wide variety of web industry roles as a designer, a developer, and a manager of web projects.

As well as working on projects within the private sector, Gareth has worked on a number of sites and projects within the public sector, including the development of web-based solutions to facilitate and guide staff through the downsizing of a major Government Department.

Gareth currently splits his time between London and New York, where he is working on a number of websites for an International Publishing company.

He spends most of his free time playing video games, apologising to his long-suffering video-game widow of a girlfriend and wondering if he’s the only person in Manhattan who doesn’t own a small, annoying dog.

No matter what the size of an organisation, there will always come times when the existing skills within that company do not completely meet the needs of the project.

As with any area of life, sourcing people whose skills and abilities meet a project's needs and effectively compliment your own is one of the hardest things to do. Thanks to our long experience within the web industry at Dragondark Media, we are fortunate in that we are able to call upon the skills of a number of associated designers, developers and companies whose goals and experience match our own, should the need arise.

Whenever we find ourselves partnered with an individual or company for a reasonable length of time, we endeavour to post their details here. Partially to ensure that our clients are able to find out more about the people who are working on their projects, but also to help ensure that those developers and companies get the credit they deserve. After all, no one likes to go unappreciated - and that includes ourselves!
